Angela Royston

I have been writing children’s information books – for school libraries and for trade – for many years. Before that I was an in-house editor and continue to do freelance editing as well as writing. My skills as an editor feed into my writing and vice versa.

My main areas of interest are:

bulletthe human body
bulletnatural history
bulletscience and technology

I like writing books that are fun and have recently written texts for an educational website and CDROMs. I am experience in writing projects that are suitable for the US market as well as the UK market. I visit schools regularly as writer in residence over an 8 or 10 week period, or to run one-off creative science writing workshops for key stage 2 classes.

I project edit illustrated non-fiction books for adults as well as for children and am experienced at all aspects of editing from planning to the minutiae of text editing. I have an Apple Mac and can edit in Quark.
