Anita Loughrey

Anita Loughrey was a primary school teacher for seventeen years before becoming a full-time freelance writer in 2002. During this time, she has compiled and written various photocopy resources with teachers’ notes explaining how they can be best used in the classroom and has worked with editors to produce text and ideas. She has also written for struggling and reluctant readers.

She enjoys research and her main interests include environmental issues, wildlife, myths and legends, history, primary science and technology.

Anita has extensive knowledge of the Curriculum and has kept up-to-date with the changes being made by various Government infrastructures. She is a member of the Historical Association Primary Committee, which has had the opportunity to read and comment on new Government proposals for the UK curriculum.
