I am an experienced writer of children’s non-fiction books on many topics.  My main areas of interest include wildlife, life science, general science, geology, anthropology, ancient history and myths and legends. 

My books have won and been nominated for several awards including the Times Educational Supplement Senior Information Book Award (The World of Shakespeare, winner, 1997) and the French Prix de la Science se Livre (The Usborne Book of Genes and DNA, winner, 2005). 

I am also an experienced editor, project manager and picture researcher, and a proficient Quark user.  I have a reputation as an efficient and reliable, yet creative and adaptable freelancer.
