Ann Kramer

ANN KRAMER has been a freelance writer for many years, creating non-fiction books for children and young people. She has written or contributed to more than 50 titles ranging from general reference and biographies through to books on specific topics such as Victorians, Human Rights and Suffragettes. Ann mainly writes history books and has recently completed a 5-book series Taking Part in the Second World War, in conjunction with the Imperial War Museum.

Ann has written for various publishers such as Dorling Kindersley, Franklin Watts, National Geographic and Marshall Editions. Previously she held editorial posts with Dorling Kindersley, Diagram International and Gaia and was the senior editor on DK’s best-selling Children’s Illustrated Encyclopedia. She now works entirely from home as a writer. Ann also writes non-fiction for adults, including books on the Women’s Land Army and Caribbean workers in the Health Service, both of which were based on interviews.
