Carol Ballard has
written more than 50 non-fiction titles, mostly for the 7 – 14 age range. Her
main topic areas are sciences, maths and geography, especially biological
sciences, nature and environment. She is also able to write on other curriculum
areas such as music, art and history. Publishers include Heinemann / Harcourt / Raintree, Wayland, Watts.
Carol has also
written the biology strand of a major KS3 science scheme, including pupils’ and
teachers’ materials, and has been asked to write materials for GCSE Biology. She
has had a series of articles published in Teaching and Learning magazine on
various aspects of teaching Science in primary schools. Additionally, she has
acted as a scientific and educational consultant for several publishers.
