Helen Orme

I have been writing for the trade and educational market for over ten years and have produced over 40 titles including non-fiction, fiction, text books (including photocopiables), TV tie-ins such as Walking with Dinosaurs and Blue Planet for BBC Worldwide, and material for CD ROM. Before I becme a full time writer I was a special needs co-ordinator in a large comprehensive school, then Teacher-in-Charge of an unit for excluded pupils. Although I write for most ages and all abilities, I have a particular interest in writing books for reluctant/struggling readers.

Non fiction topics covered science, environment, history, maths, social topics. I am happy to negotiate on both flat fee and royalty terms.
