After working as an
in-house journalist and editor in consumer electronics magazines, Ian Graham
became a freelance writer. He has written more than 230 illustrated non-fiction
books for children and teens, and contributed chapters to books including
Dorling Kindersley’s Know it All and Big Ideas that Changed the World.
He also works as a consultant to publishers, assessing and checking other
authors’ books.
Ian Graham writes
on a variety of popular science, technology and engineering topics including
spaceflight, aviation, astronomy, forensic science, military technology, energy
and robots. He has also written graphic novels retelling the stories of
Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Defoe’s Robinson Crusoe.
He has a degree in
applied physics and a postgraduate diploma in journalism, and is a member of the
Society of Authors and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
